About

About me

My name is Courtney. I am an accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has been working in the industry for over 10 years.

Over my career, my focus has been working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. I have spent many years focusing specifically on working with young people who have either experienced sexual assault or who are engaging in harmful sexualised behaviours.

I have experience working within the mental health field with people who have diagnoses of depression, anxiety, eating disorders such as ARFID, Anorexia, and Bullimia, and people who are neurodivergent.

I love animals and I am currently in the process of getting some of my beautiful animals certified so that they can work with me as therapy animals. Pictured to the right are Tramp (top right), Bear (bottom left in the back), Squid (bottom left in the front) and Max (bottom right).

Isolation has been identified as a key precipitating and perpetuating factor for trauma and mental health, with connection being a strong protective factor. I aim to support the community by increasing connection and understanding.

I am also committed to supporting other therapists in the industry through Professional Supervision.
